The homes will show a 2050-ready home in 2021 using renewable energy generation and storage. The homes will be grouped; each group will have the same structural make up, but different insulation specifications. 9
005/20 Isle of Anglesey CC Isle of Anglesey Proposed using a traditional housebuilder to build low carbon timber frame homes to deliver Passivhaus levels of energy performance. The scheme is assisting a traditional builder to move towards MMC builds and an opportunity for the authority to upskill staff to understand MMC homes. 18
006/20 Swansea CC Swansea Application linked to homelessness interventions and raising the standard of these homes to make them Homes as Power Stations which has been spearheaded by Swansea Council. 15
008/20 Pobl Newport Building on the neighbouring Loftus Garden site using a closed panel timber frame by a Welsh MMC producer. The scheme will off-set the CO2 generated in the manufacturing process through carbon credits with a community-based project in Treherbert. The homes are designed to be carbon zero in operation. 54
009/20 Pobl Newport Using a closed panel timber frame by a Welsh MMC producer, the scheme will be used to create a portfolio of pattern book homes to mainstream and normalise MMC into the Welsh social housing building programme. The homes are designed to be carbon zero in operation. 40
010/20 Tai Tarian Neath Port Talbot The scheme will create 55 new homes as well as retrofit 72 existing homes with associated landscaping and infrastructure works. An interesting and high quality proposal with a commitment to provide good quality homes, retrofit improvements and enhanced building and energy performance. 55

012/20 ClywdAlyn Denbighshire Timber frame homes built to be whole life zero carbon, produced by a Welsh MMC producer that will be offering training and opportunities for those furthest from the job market. 63
016/20 Powys CC Powys Low carbon MMC homes using a Welsh producer. Provides Powys with the opportunity to learn about the adoption of MMC and lower energy performance delivery. 13
017/20 Adra, ClwydAlyn, Grwp Cynefin and North Wales HA Gwynedd and Isle of Anglesey 113 homes provided across four sites in collaboration with four North Wales housing associations. The volumetric MMC solution will use Welsh timber and an integrated energy strategy. A well-considered and comprehensive scheme with the creation of a consortium to deliver at scale with a level of standardisation. 113
021/20 Adra and North Wales HA Conwy Low carbon homes using Beattie Passive design from the Creating Enterprise factory in Holyhead. The MMC approach builds on schemes previously supported under IHP and ensures a continuality of order book certainty for the community interest company. 21
023/20 Monmouthshire HA Monmouthshire Using a closed panel timber system with a Welsh MMC producer across three sites, the proposed homes are a combination of first time buyer and housing first homes to tackle homelessness. This scheme builds on the learning delivered under IHP Year 1 and IHP Year 3. 17

025/20 Caerphilly CBC Caerphilly Proposal to build the first affordable homes by Caerphilly County Borough Council since 2003 uses a local MMC producer using a steel frame ‘kit of parts’ system that is untested under IHP previously. Proposal is a ‘proof of concept’ and learning through these two sites, will assist Caerphilly move on to delivering larger sites in future. 20
026/20 Wales and West HA Flintshire Low carbon homes which swap out traditional build for MMC solution with a Welsh producer of open market high specification MMC homes making its first steps into delivering high quality affordable MMC homes. 6
