WHQ seeks new editor

Tamsin Stirling will be stepping down from her role as WHQ editor in the spring of 2013 after the publication of issue 90 of the magazine. Tamsin has been editor since the mid 1990s and during her tenure as editor WHQ has developed its role as essential reading for the Welsh housing and regeneration community. She has been an excellent editor and we are now starting the search for her successor.

The role involves a range of tasks associated with production of the magazine, including:

  • identifying potential contributors and features
  • commissioning and editing articles/features
  • drafting regular features such as the editorial and policy update
  • working with the designer and signing off proofs.

The role also involves liaison with the WHQ advisory board, which meets 4 times a year, CIH Cymru, who administer and manage the WHQ finances, and other freelancers who carry out marketing and translation for the magazine. The editor also keeps the magazine website (www.whq.org.uk) up to date.

For an informal discussion please contact Judy Wayne, the WHQ advisory board chair at judy.wayne@altairltd.co.uk, 029 2037 7268, or Keith Edwards at CIH Cymru at Keith.Edwards@cih.org, 029 2976 5760.
