Community Housing Cymru – From strength to strength

Community Housing Cymru’s 10 commercial partners are using their expertise to support Wales’s social housing sector.

Since the housing association trade body launched its new commercial partnerships last year it has welcomed organisations from a diverse range of sectors.

These organisations have greatly benefitted Welsh housing associations, offering extra insight, valuable information, and dedicated support by using knowledge from their different fields.

Last year CHC welcomed seven commercial partners, including treasury and corporate finance advisorCentrus and supply chain and procurement solutions provider Travis Perkins Managed Solutions.

It also welcomed procurement and asset management consortium CHIC; legal firm Hugh James, insurance, risk management and consulting service provider Gallagher and energy advisor Utility Aid.

CHC’s range of commercial partners offer diverse services including providing legal advice to Welsh housing associations, helping to better inform them about energy use to help cut costs, and working to develop software solutions which put the tenant experience first.

Community Housing Cymru recently welcomed four more commercial partners, the first of which, Lovell Partnerships, brings expertise in housing-led regeneration, new-build, affordable housing, refurbishment, strategic land and more.

The second, west Wales-based multi-disciplinary architectural practice RLH Architectural, brings over 15 years’ experience working with housing associations.

Joining these organisations is independent financial services consultancy Quantum Advisory, which specialises in pension and employee benefit services. And finally, Barcud Shared Services will offer internal audit and risk and assurance expertise to the sector.
