The new WHQ website is here! Jon Barnes, marketing and communications officer at CIH, takes a look around unfamiliar digital surroundings with some familiar content.
If you’re reading this then welcome! You’ve made it to the new Welsh Housing Quarterly website. As part of the working group that WHQ’s independent advisory board asked to develop a new online home, it’s brilliant to see the website up and running.
So, let’s take a quick tour to acquaint ourselves with our new digital stomping ground. Getting straight to the main event on the right of the homepage, or under “The magazine” in the top menu, you’ll find articles from the print issues of WHQ. A new look for presenting these online, but still the well-informed and authentic voice of housing and regeneration in Wales.
Sticking to the homepage, and casting a glance to the left, you’ll see the latest news and blogs section. This is a brand new feature and something of a new venture for Welsh Housing Quarterly. In between issues we’ll be posting blogs, contributions and news from the sector here. Welsh Housing Quarterly has always been home made and hand crafted by the sector, for the sector. To keep that tradition alive we want to hear from you. You can contribute by getting in touch with the editor to pitch a magazine article or blog, you could write up an event you’ve attended or even add to the debate by commenting under an article. We’d love to see an active community of commenters all debating the latest issues, just keep it civil folks!
On the new site you’ll also find information about subscriptions, sponsorship and advertising, as well as contact information for the editor and CIH Cymru.
One feature we’ll be looking to roll out soon is a newsletter to web visitors. Sign up and we’ll send you highlights from the website and magazine. The latest news and opinion straight to your inbox, what’s not to like?
So, take a look around and let us know what you think of the new site.
